Chocolate Dessert, Saga Restaurante, Costa Rica

This dessert was delightful. It consisted of a chocolate ganache/truffle, served on a bed of custard with a raspberry compote. It was accompanied by a wee dollop of vanilla ice cream on a ginger snap. But the real kicker for this dessert was my daughter’s reaction. She was just over a year old and this was her first time trying chocolate. In her reaction, it was also the first time we heard her say this word: ” Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow!” I still laugh about that to this day and could never hope to give a better description of that dessert experience.
